Please join us for an evening of food, wine, music, and an exploration of the 40th anniversary season with Artistic Director Kenneth Woods.

This year, we move to a beautiful, new-to-us host home in South Boulder. MahlerFest Principal Violist Lauren Spaulding will be joined by our Artistic Director Kenneth Woods. Maestro Woods will offer insights into the programming for MahlerFest 40, May 19-23, 2027.

Noted for “genre-defying” performances with “distinct sonic identity” and “ethereal refinement” (Gramophone Magazine/Musical America), MahlerFest Principal Violist, Dr. Lauren Spaulding captivates international audiences as a versatile chamber musician, modern & historical performer, enthusiastic educator, and experimental viola soloist, highlighted on the GRAMMY-winning viola duo album Shapes in Collective Space. Spaulding is a member of the Thalea String Quartet, 2024–25 ensemble in residence at the University of Toronto, the Canadian Chamber Orchestra, and Tallā Rouge Duo, the 2023–24 ensemble in residence at Harvard University’s esteemed Dumbarton Oaks.
