MahlerFest 40

MahlerFest at 40 – A Celebration of Visionaries

A campaign to raise $250,000

"Try to imagine the whole universe beginning to ring and resound. There are no longer human voices, but planets and suns revolving."

Gustav Mahler used these words as he asked us to see, on a cosmic scale, beyond boundaries, borders, and conventions to envision a hopeful future. MahlerFest 40 celebrates Mahler the Visionary with a landmark performance of his monumental Symphony No. 8 and additional compositions exploring the season’s theme, Visionaries. We need your help to put 350 musicians on stage for the Symphony of a Thousand. Your support brings Mahler’s vision to life and launches our vision of a strong, sustainable future for the next 40 years.

One Monumental Eighth. A Festival of Visionaries.

For our 40th Anniversary festival, Colorado MahlerFest celebrates the
life, legacy, and music of Mahler the Visionary.

Of all Mahler’s works, his monumental Eighth Symphony is the work in which Mahler’s transcendent vision is most fully realized. In this epic, redemptive work, the earth roars, the heavens cry out, children laugh, and impossible journeys are realized.

We celebrate the mystics, the dreamers, the visionaries.
The artists who make the indescribable, accomplished.
