Yes, this is a completely silly endeavor, but a promise is a promise.

Our Artistic Director, Kenneth Woods, and Executive Director, Ethan Hecht, both have healthy beards of which they are quite proud and their families are quite fond. We also discovered that, in his youth Mahler tried out a beard.

Before Colorado Gives Day and the end-of-year giving season, we set some ambitious fundraising goals. We promised that if we met those goals, Ken and Ethan would shave.

Thank you, we guess, for helping us meet those goals.

Ken is taking this quite dramatically. Two videos have already been shared. The final will be released at the start of the festival, May 13 at 3:30 PM MDT.

Ethan

Ethan does not feel the need to add any drama. Losing his beard after 25 years of having it almost consistently and 15 years of never shaving it off is dramatic enough.
