Kathryn Harms – Harp

Harpist Kathryn Harms is recognized for her vibrant artistry and versatility as an orchestral performer and chamber musician, as well as for her profound impact as a pedagogue andcommunity leader.

Harms performed as principal harpist with the Central City Opera for their 2024 season. Previously the acting principal harpist with the New Mexico Philharmonic, she currently performs with ensembles such as the Colorado Symphony and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. She has been principal harpist with Colorado Mahlerfest since 2017 and is a frequent guest artist with ensembles such as the Ars Nova singers.

Harms was appointed as the harp faculty member at Colorado State University in Spring 2022. She also maintains a thriving private studio based in North Boulder. During the summer, she directs the Colorado Harp Seminar—an intensive summer program for high school and undergraduate pedal harpist with a focus on musician wellness.
