Friday May 17 – Bruckner’s String Quintet at The Academy

Anton Bruckner was an important figure in Mahler’s formative years – a teacher, friend and mentor who helped pave the way for Mahler’s symphonic innovations through his structural and harmonic audacity. MahlerFest XXXII’s second chamber concert in the acoustically superb main hall of the Academy features Bruckner’s lone chamber work, his touching and grand String Quintet, featuring five of our Festival Artists
