Due to a health issue with one of the musicians, “Return to Electric Liederland” will be postponed until next year.

The Jones/Butterfield Duo is returning to MahlerFest after participating in the festival in 2018. The duo performs music that is informed by a collective study of roots, jazz, rock, and classical practices, as well as various world music traditions.

Craig Butterfield is the principal bass player for MahlerFest this year and is a professor of Double Bass at the University of South Carolina. Award-winning composer Jesse Jones is an associate professor of composition at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and will be playing tenor banjo and guitar in our performance of Der Kaiser von Atlantis.

Tickets can be purchased to this show alone or attend the whole night and save by coming to “Determination & Defiance” at 7 PM. There will be pizza available between the shows.
