Intimate gathering with wine, beer, Mediterranean hors d’oeuvres, dessert, live music, and a surprise or two.

The Colorado MahlerFest would like to thank the Boulder Piano Gallery for donating the venue and piano, Frasca Food and Wine/Pizzeria Locale for donating the desserts, Scarpetta wine for donating the white and red wines and Finkel and Garf Craft Brewery and Taproom for the beer.

We would also like to the thank the almost 100 restaurants, events, merchants and services that donated items to the silent auction.  For a complete list, click here.

Our performances included four sets of music by the following SUPERSTAR musicians:

Maestro Kenneth WoodsOur new Artistic Director and Conductor and Principal Conductor of the English Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Woods is also a world-renowned cellist and will perform music for solo cello.
Madoka Asari & Andrew Brown – Madoka has been featured piano soloist with the Littleton Symphony and Greater Kansas City Philharmonia, and received the Sarah C. Manion Award for Excellence in Piano. Andrew serves as principal cellist for our MahlerFest Orchestra and the Longmont Symphony.
Mary Wallace – Accomplished operatic soprano and jazz singer, she has performed at the White House for Presidents Carter and Reagan. She will sing classic jazz standards, accompanied by Kim Wallace on guitar.
The special mystery guests were Sandra Wong and Victor Mestas. Sandra is a classically trained violinist and fiddler. She also plays the nyckelharpa, a 14th century Swedish folk instrument . It is a 16 stringed, keyed instrument played with a bow.
